Brooklyn-born, rhythm-raised. DJ Mike Torres blends his Puerto Rican heritage and NYC hustle into every set. Raised on Salsa, Disco, Motown, and Funk by his percussionist father, he expanded into Rock, Reggae, Hip-Hop, House, Freestyle, and Caribbean vibes as a teen.
Influenced by 92.3 KTU’s Saturday Night Dance Party and DJ Red Alert on 98.7 Kiss FM, he started on Gemini XL-BD10s in ’89. Inspired by DJ AM, he committed to open-format — a lane he’s owned for 37+ years.
From vinyl to Serato, Mike has rocked private events, bars, clubs, and concerts across NYC, Florida, and Puerto Rico with signature Brooklyn energy. He’s the owner of an independent mobile DJ company, partner of the SOS Event Group, and Blue Tie member of Senate DJs.
